Leave the Two Boats Inn by the front door and walk along the canal towpath to your right, passing under the roadbridge. In a matter of yards after the bridge you will see a green pumping station, take the footpath which goes behind it and through the kissing gate. Cross the field and pass through two more kissing gates.
Continue in the same direction over the new wooden bridge which crosses the stream and through another kissing gate. You will now see the village again in front of you. When you reach the far edge of the field go through a fifth kissing gate and then straight ahead into Thorn Way and as the road opens up fork left before the Old School House and visit the Holy Trinity Church.
Leave the church by the way you entered and at the end of drive turn left and immediately right, passing to the front of the Harvester PH.
Keep on the right hand footpath past the main village noticeboard and head for the pond straight in front of you.
When you leave the pond head along the A423 to the right past the old Manor House and cross the road at the zebra crossing. In 80 yards fork left into Stockton Road and cross over the road opposite the noticeboard. Take the footpath by the bungalows and alleyway that leads to Leigh Crescent.
Continue straigfht ahead and take the track towards the garages at the side of number 25, Leigh Crescent and you will emerge onto the canal towpath. Turn right and in 150 yards you will be back at the Two Boats Inn.
